Metra 40-CR30 Snap-Lock Antenna Adapter Kit for Factory-Radio FM Modulators
Add an external device with an FM modulator while keeping the factory radio and antenna connected. The Metra 40-CR30 supplies the two adapter cables needed to bridge the original snap-lock antenna connections and the modulator's Motorola connections in the listed applications.
Connection Features
- Insert an FM modulator into the antenna path while retaining the original radio and antenna.
- Two adapter cables serve the radio side and antenna side of the installation.
- One cable pairs a male Motorola connection with a female snap-lock connection.
- The second cable pairs a female Motorola connection with a female snap-lock connection.
- Both cables are supplied with their antenna connectors already terminated.

Installation Notes
This is an antenna connection kit. The external device and FM modulator are supplied separately. Fitment is limited to the listed applications with the matching factory connectors.
Vehicle Configuration Notes
- Apply these configurations within the exact model-year application list; these notes do not extend a vehicle range.
- Chevrolet Aveo 2007–2008 and Pontiac G3 2007–2009: sedan body style.
- Without factory navigation: Chevrolet Avalanche 2012–2013; Captiva Sport 2012–2013; Express 1500 2013–2014 and 2500/3500 2013–2015; Silverado listed models 2012–2013 and Silverado 2500 HD/3500 HD 2014; Suburban listed models 2012–2014, with 2500 ending in 2013; Tahoe 2012–2014.
- Without factory navigation: GMC Savana 1500 2013–2014 and 2500/3500 2013–2015; Sierra listed models 2012–2013 and Sierra 2500 HD 2014; Yukon and Yukon XL listed models 2012–2014, with XL 2500 ending in 2013.
- Ford Explorer 2006–2008 and Mercury Mariner 2008–2011: without factory navigation.
