Overview
The Metra 70-1770 connects a replacement receiver to the original radio wiring in the supported vehicle applications. Its adapters plug into the factory radio connectors so those connector leads do not need to be cut. Color-coded wires connect or solder to the aftermarket radio harness, providing radio power and the specified four-speaker connection.
Keep the factory connection intact
The vehicle-specific plugs connect to the original radio wiring. The receiver-side connections are completed on the adapter's color-coded leads.

Examples include Ford F-150 1986–1998, Jaguar S-Type 2000–2002 and Nissan Quest 1993–1998. Other models use different ranges in the full list below.
Check the installation beyond the wiring adapter
Connect or solder the leads to the aftermarket receiver harness. A dash kit and antenna adapter may also be needed. Depending on the original equipment, retaining steering-wheel controls or other factory functions may require another interface.
