Five Channels for Full-System Amplification

The A2500.5D is designed to operate four full-range channels together with a dedicated mono fifth channel. This configuration allows a single amplifier to power multiple speakers while also supplying a separate subwoofer channel.

Amplifier Technology

Full Range Super D-Class® + Super D-Class®

Hifonics combines Full Range Super D-Class® and Super D-Class® technologies in this five-channel hybrid design. The topology is engineered for high current efficiency, reduced heat, and lower distortion compared with conventional amplifier designs.

Ultra-Fi™ MOSFET output devices are used to produce high power efficiently while minimizing distortion, and a heavy-duty aluminum-alloy heat sink helps move heat away from the MOSFETs.

Construction & Cooling

Heavy-Duty Aluminum Heat Sink

A heavy-duty aluminum-alloy heat sink transfers heat away from the amplifier's MOSFET devices so it can be dissipated efficiently during operation.

Surface Mount Technology replaces larger through-hole component placement with lower-mass SMT components. The design provides tighter component tolerances while improving resistance to shock and vibration.

Connections

Nickel-Plated Signal & Output Connections

Nickel-plated RCA connectors are used for signal input, while nickel-plated high-temperature, impact-resistant output terminals use hex screws for secure connections and resistance to erosion.

• 4 AWG 12V and ground power terminals.
• 18 AWG speaker terminals for CH1–4.
• 16 AWG speaker terminal for CH5.
• Speaker-level audio inputs supported.

Electronic Crossovers

Independent Full-Range & Subwoofer Filtering

The onboard electronic crossover system gives the four full-range channels and dedicated fifth channel separate filtering controls for matching the amplifier output to connected speakers and subwoofers.

• CH1 & CH2 variable high-pass crossover: 10Hz–250Hz at 12dB/octave.
• CH3 & CH4 variable high-pass crossover: 10Hz–250Hz at 12dB/octave.
• CH5 variable low-pass crossover: 50Hz–250Hz at 12dB/octave.
• Bass EQ: 0–12dB at 45Hz.

Bass Remote

HFR-31 Wired Remote Included

The included HFR-31 wired bass remote controls CH5, allowing bass adjustments from a convenient position inside the vehicle. It uses a smooth potentiometer with ring illumination and a satin-black mount.

Protection & Diagnostics

LED System Protection Monitoring

Illuminated indicators on the amplifier end panel monitor overload and speaker-short protection circuitry, providing visible system diagnostics.

Turn-On & Installation

Flexible Signal Integration

CH1–4 support switched remote turn-on or signal-sense activation. Speaker-level audio inputs are also supported, and the amplifier uses external fusing.
