Description
ARC Audio X2800.8 DSP – 8-Channel Class-D Amplifier with 12-Channel DSP
The ARC Audio X2800.8 DSP is an integrated 8-channel Class-D amplifier and 12-channel DSP designed for modern vehicles where space, control, and clean OEM integration matter. Built around an Analog Devices ADAU1462 32-bit processor with AKM Velvet Sound converters, it provides precise tuning tools, flexible routing, and stable multi-channel power for active front stages, subwoofer systems, and complete OEM replacement installations.
Purpose-built for Real-World System Design
With eight bridgeable Class-D channels and twelve DSP channels, the X2800.8 DSP is capable of driving front stages, rear fill, and subwoofers from a single compact chassis while still providing processed outputs for external amplification. Power is rated at 50 watts x 8 at 4 ohms or 85 watts x 8 at 2 ohms, with the option to bridge for 170 watts x 4 at 4 ohms (2-ohm bridged operation is not recommended).
Eight balanced analog inputs accept both RCA and speaker-level signals with 0.5–32 V sensitivity, so the amplifier can be used behind aftermarket head units or directly on factory amplified systems. A digital coaxial input supports sample rates up to 96 kHz for high-resolution playback. ARC Audio’s DNA software unlocks full control over EQ, crossovers, time alignment, phase, summing, and mix routing, with up to four user presets for different tuning profiles or listening preferences.
- Integrated DSP amplifier architecture reduces wiring and saves space compared to separate DSP and amplifier components.
- Balanced analog inputs and high input voltage capability simplify connection to OEM and aftermarket sources.
- Four high-voltage RCA outputs (up to 8 V) provide processed signals for additional amplifiers in larger systems.
- Auto-sense turn-on (signal or DC BTL) and adjustable remote turn-on timing streamline integration and prevent pops and thumps.
- Fan-assisted cooling and smart thermal management support under-seat and hidden installations where airflow is limited.
Integration, Control & System Expansion
The X2800.8 DSP is designed for clean OEM integration and easy system expansion. iDatalink Maestro AR compatibility allows direct digital communication with supported factory source units, keeping OEM features while routing audio into the DSP for full control. Auto-sense turn-on and user-adjustable timing for both device power-up and remote output help match system behavior to the vehicle and connected amplifiers.
- Up to four user-defined presets, selectable via ARC DNA software, optional LR-2 controller, or manual trigger switches.
- USB-C connection for tuning with ARC Audio DNA software (Windows PC), with support for multi-processor systems using a powered USB hub.
- Common input gain structure across channels for fast setup and consistent level control.
- Start/stop compliant DSP power range, designed to remain stable in vehicles with aggressive voltage drop during engine cranking.
- Compact footprint suitable for under-seat, side-panel, or factory amplifier locations to preserve cargo and cabin space.
