Description
Elevate your sound
Experience dynamic sound with astonishing clarity. The woofer with Lightweight Rigid Cellular diaphragm provides power and depth, while the component soft dome tweeter gives the best stereo sound staging in your vehicle.
Lightweight Rigid Cellular Aramid Fibre Matrix Diaphragm
The diaphragms for the woofer and mid-range driver are crafted from Sony’s unique Lightweight Rigid Cellular material, formerly known as mica reinforced cellular. The latest generation compound has been further optimized alongside mechanical driver improvements, to deliver an even wider frequency response and smoother, more natural sound characteristics.
Bi-amp capable crossover with gain selector
The audiophile-grade crossover features an optimal, lower-resistance film capacitor for smooth high-end. Its bi-amp capable design mitigates current distortion to the tweeter when running the woofer with high input levels. A dedicated gain selector helps keep balance of woofer and tweeter signal levels, and enables tweeter level adjustment even when driving the components from a single amplifier.
Optimal formulation
Embedding in a unique matrix with aramid fibres suppresses diaphragm resonance and minimizes distortion, not only in the lows, but also in the mid and higher frequencies. The result is sound that is powerful at all frequencies and uncommonly clean, even at high volume.
