Description
Focal Alpha 50 Evo is a compact, active 2-way studio monitor designed for accurate sound reproduction in nearfield setups.
It features a 5" (13cm) Slatefiber cone woofer and a 1" (25mm) aluminum inverted dome tweeter, both developed and manufactured in Focal’s workshops in France.
This combination delivers a highly neutral tonal balance, excellent dynamics, and wide dispersion, maintaining consistent sound throughout the room.
The Alpha 50 Evo offers a frequency response of 45Hz–22kHz (+/-3dB) and can reach a maximum SPL of 101dB peak at 1m.
Its Class D bi-amplification provides 35W for low/mid frequencies and 25W for high frequencies, ensuring clear performance without distortion.
An automatic standby mode, which can be disengaged, helps reduce energy consumption when not in use.
Connectivity is versatile with TRS, XLR, and RCA inputs, allowing up to three audio sources to be connected at once.
Tuning controls include adjustable sensitivity (0 or +6dB), low-frequency shelving (±6dB from 0–250Hz), and high-frequency shelving (±3dB from 4.5–35kHz) for adapting to different acoustic spaces.
The cabinet’s bass-reflex design with a large laminar port aids low-frequency extension and reduces noise.
