Memphis Audio MM84TW tower speakers feature ATAC™ (Advanced Tower Array Construction), a curved tweeter array design inspired by concert line-array dispersion systems. This compression-horn-free approach is engineered to deliver wide dispersion, strong output, and durability for demanding marine and saltwater environments.
Overview
ATAC™ Design for Clear, Wide-Angle Projection
Traditional compression horn tower speakers require the horn to intersect the woofer, which creates a gap that needs a gasket. This can reduce effective woofer surface area and add weight, impacting efficiency and output. The ATAC™ design uses a curved array tweeter bridge across the front of the speaker, maximizing woofer surface area for increased output and midbass, while helping enable a fully sealed tower design.
