JL Audio XDM800/8 8-Channel Class D Full-Range Car/Marine Amplifier, 100 W x 8 @ 2 Ω / 75 W x 8 @ 4 Ω - 14.4V
The ultra-versatile XDM800/8 delivers eight channels of crystal-clear, full-range power and is capable of delivering a whopping 100 watts to each of its channels @ 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD). The technology that makes this much power possible in such a compact chassis is JL Audio's advanced NexD™ high-speed switching design, which permits full bandwidth Class D operation with extremely low distortion and remarkable efficiency.
Suitable for car or boat installations, the XDM800/8 is built with marine-grade materials and features an exclusive, dual-mode input filter for noise-free performance in boats or cars. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is also onboard for easy factory system upgrades.
The XDM800/8 includes a 12 dB / octave filter for each channel bank, which can be configured as a low-pass or high-pass filter, and offers continuously variable cutoff frequency selection from 50-500 Hz. With the addition of an optional HD-RLC or MHD-RLC (water-resistant) remote level controller (each sold separately), you have the ability to adjust the level of two, four, or all eight amplifier channels directly from the driver's seat or cockpit.
Here are a few examples of how the XDM800/8 can be used:
- Eight-channel Satellite Amp: drive four pairs of speakers with 75 W x 8
- Big Four-Channel Satellite Amp: bridge to produce 200W x 4 @ 4Ω
- Six-Channel System Amp: drive front and rear satellites with 75 W x 4 @ 4Ω, plus two 4Ω subwoofers with 200 W each
- Staggered Six-Channel Satellite Amp: drive front speakers with 200 W x 2 @ 4Ω, plus four 4Ω speakers with 75 W each
- Staggered Five-Channel Satellite Amp: drive three front speakers with 200 W @ 4Ω + rear speakers with 75 W x 2
- Four-Channel System Amp: drive left and right speakers with 200W x 2 @ 4Ω, plus two 4Ω subwoofers with 200W each
Finished in a sleek, black powder-coat, all controls are protected beneath a gasketed, removable top cover for easy access.

8x JL Audio M6-880X-L-SbSb-Single 8.8-inch (224 mm) Marine Coaxial Speaker, Black Trim Ring, Black Luxe Grille - (M6-880X-L-SbSb-Single)
M6 Luxe speakers are purpose-built to deliver top-flight audio performance and durability in luxury marine installations. Each model is outfitted with a low-profile mounting bezel with integrated tweeter bridge and a fine mesh grille for minimal protrusion into cabin space. The result is a discreet visual appearance able to blend in with the finest vessel surroundings.
The same principle that allows our 7.7-inch marine speakers to dominate over conventional 6.5-inch designs is delivered in a more powerful dose with our M6-880X 8.8-inch coaxials. These 8.8-inch diameter monsters offer significant performance advantages over our 7.7 inch models, and a huge advantage over conventional 6.5 inch marine speakers. Thanks to 36% more cone area and almost double the excursion capability, the M6-880X's are capable of +6 dB greater low frequency output than our M6-770X 7.7-inch coaxial systems! The bass is so impressive that the M6-880X can be used without a subwoofer while still packing a very serious low-frequency punch. Used with a subwoofer, they offer vastly better dynamics and mid-bass impact than smaller speakers, making them the best choice when ultimate performance is desired.
To make sure that the high-frequencies sound just as good as the bass, our engineers have designed an oversized, 1.25-inch, silk dome tweeter for this model. This new tweeter plays louder, cleaner and extends lower in frequency to better mate with the 8.8-inch woofer. A multi-order, true 2-way passive crossover is concealed within the woofer chassis, shielded from vibration and corrosion. Also included, is an automatic tweeter protection circuit to minimize the possibility of tweeter failure.
Although M6-880X Coaxial Systems can be used with as little as 50 W per channel, but for best audio performance we recommend amplifiers capable of between 50-250 W of continuous power per channel.
Production of all M6 loudspeakers takes place in JL Audio’s Miramar, Florida factory, using global components and materials.
