What this part adds to the installation
- Designed for the 2011–2019 Ford Explorer application listed by Metra.
- Accommodates aftermarket speakers in the 6-inch to 6.75-inch size range.
- Raised circular mounts and preformed attachment holes provide the speaker mounting interface.
- Two adapter plates are included to support a pair of speaker replacements.
- The adapter-plate pair carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
Match the speaker to the plate
Confirm the Explorer's original speaker location and compare the replacement speaker's basket, mounting flange and depth before fitting the plates. The nominal speaker size alone does not establish clearance. Wiring adapters and speakers are separate installation components.
