Description
Keep the early Honda radio connection intact
Metra 70-1388 Radio Wiring Harness for Select 1982–1985 Honda Accord, Civic and Prelude
A wiring adapter for the listed Accord, Civic and Prelude model years.
The listed Honda Accord 1982–1985, Civic 1983–1985 and Prelude 1983–1985 applications require non-amplified factory audio.
Overview
The Metra 70-1388 adapts the factory radio wiring in supported early Honda applications to an aftermarket receiver. Its vehicle-specific plug connects to the original radio connector without cutting that connector's leads. Color-coded wires on the other side connect or solder to the replacement radio for power and the stated four-speaker connection.
Assemble the parts for the complete radio swap
Check the original connector and the new receiver's wiring requirements. A dash kit or antenna adapter may be needed in addition to this harness. Retaining factory functions, when applicable, can require another interface; the adapter alone does not establish complete system retention.
