A 204-inch bypass lead harness for the amplifier connection behind the passenger-side kick panel.
For the 2005–2011 Honda Element application, LX trim is excluded.
Overview
The Metra 70-1726 provides a long, color-coded wiring path for bypassing the factory amplifier in a 2003–2011 Honda Element. Its amplifier-side connector and 204-inch leads let you plan the new audio wiring from the factory amplifier location behind the passenger-side kick panel. The installation sheet also identifies the Honda dual-voice-coil subwoofer wires and requires crossover protection if that subwoofer is used.
Connect the bypass leads for the actual audio system
Plan the complete replacement-radio and amplifier wiring separately from the amplifier-side connection shown here. For the subwoofer leads, Green/White is coil 1 positive, White/Red is coil 1 negative, Brown/Yellow is coil 2 positive and Brown/Blue is coil 2 negative. The remaining wires use the Metra/EIA color code identified in the instructions. If the factory DVC subwoofer is used, provide the required crossover to avoid damage; these leads are not a promise of subwoofer retention in every configuration.
