For 2009–2011 Honda Civic, the factory radio must be without navigation. The 2006–2008 Civic application excludes US-market DX models.
Overview
The Metra 70-1727 supports an aftermarket radio installation that bypasses the factory amplifier in the 2006–2011 Honda Civic application. Its vehicle-specific connectors attach at the original radio and amplifier wiring, while color-coded leads connect or solder to the receiver harness. The adapter provides radio power without cutting the factory radio connector wiring. Factory subwoofer retention must be checked, because Metra identifies loss of that function in select applications.
Check the audio configuration before bypassing the amplifier
Connect or solder the receiver-side leads as required, and confirm the factory amplifier and subwoofer arrangement. A dash kit, antenna adapter or separate interface for original controls and other functions may also be needed. Metra installation support is available seven days a week.
