Overview
The Metra 70-1731 supports a radio replacement in the listed Honda vehicles while retaining the factory backup camera. The AXCSD-6V is required and sold separately. The harness is also pre-wired for an Axxess steering-wheel-control interface, which is sold separately. Vehicle-specific plugs preserve the original radio connector wiring, and color-coded leads connect or solder to the aftermarket receiver.

Applications are Civic 2016–2019, CR-V 2017–2018, Fit 2018–2019, HR-V 2019–2022 and Insight 2019. Connect or solder the receiver-side leads and include the required AXCSD-6V. A dash kit, antenna adapter or other factory-function interface may also be needed for the chosen radio and vehicle.

Equipment and installation qualifications
- Honda Civic 2016–2018 coupe/sedan applications require LX or LX-P trim with non-amplified factory audio. Hatchback applications are LX or LX-P for 2016–2018, or Sport for 2017–2018, also with non-amplified audio.
- Honda CR-V 2017–2018 requires LX trim and non-amplified factory audio. Honda Fit 2018–2019 requires non-amplified factory audio without a touchscreen radio.
- The AXCSD-6V remains required and sold separately for factory-camera retention. The pre-wired Axxess steering-wheel-control interface is also sold separately.
