Overview
The Metra 72-9003 speaker harness pair adapts the original speaker wiring in the 1995–1997 Audi A6 and 1997–1999 Audi A8 to compatible aftermarket speakers. The plug-in design eliminates cutting, splicing and soldering for the harness connection. Each adapter carries the audio signal to its speaker, and two adapters are included for a pair of speakers.
Confirm the speaker position and mounting
Check the factory connector at the speaker being replaced and the requirements of the new speaker. The harness pair handles wiring adaptation; Metra notes that additional parts may be necessary to complete the installation. Vehicle fit alone does not establish the mounting requirements for every speaker position.
