ARC Audio Falcon 12-Channel DSP Amplifier
The ARC Audio Falcon DSP Amplifier combines multi-channel power and advanced digital signal processing into a compact, installer-focused platform. Designed exclusively for ARC Audio by Robert Zeff and engineered in the USA, the Falcon integrates a 12-channel Class-D amplifier with a 16-channel DSP processor—allowing complex active systems, OEM integration upgrades, and high-channel-count system designs from a single chassis.
Built on ARC Audio’s flagship Pro-Series DSP platform, the Falcon supports high-resolution audio processing and extensive tuning capabilities through ARC’s DNA software interface, giving installers precise control over system performance and signal routing.
High-Resolution DSP Platform
At the core of the Falcon is an Analog Devices ADAU1462 DSP processor operating at native 32-bit resolution. The processor is paired with dual AKM Velvet Sound™ converters—AK5558B ADCs and AK4438VN DACs—delivering high-resolution signal conversion and supporting digital input sample rates up to 192kHz.
System tuning is performed through ARC Audio’s DNA DSP software, which provides advanced tools for professional calibration including multi-band equalization, crossover configuration, time alignment, all-pass filtering, and full input/output matrix routing.
12 Channels of Integrated Class-D Amplification
The Falcon integrates twelve Class-D amplifier channels designed for flexible system configuration. Each channel delivers 75 watts at 4 ohms or 125 watts at 2 ohms in stereo operation. For higher power applications, the amplifier channels can be bridged to produce six channels rated at 250 watts at 4 ohms.
Adjustable Class-D switching frequency control allows installers to optimize performance and reduce potential interference with nearby electronics during system setup.
System Integration & Control
The Falcon is designed for seamless OEM and aftermarket integration. Eight balanced analog inputs accept either RCA or speaker-level signals with input sensitivity ranging from 0.5V to 32V. Digital sources can also be connected via Toslink optical input or coaxial digital input (with the optional D.O.C. adapter).
iDatalink Maestro amplifier replacement compatibility allows the Falcon to integrate with supported vehicles while retaining factory features and controls. Additional control options include compatibility with ARC Audio’s PSC full-function controller and LR-2 programmable remote, as well as optional AXP WiFi control capability.
The amplifier also includes microprocessor-controlled fan cooling, adjustable remote turn-on timing, and support for up to four user-defined DSP presets.
Connectivity & Expandability
The Falcon includes four RCA outputs capable of delivering up to 8 volts for integration with additional external amplifiers. Multi-processor expansion is also supported, allowing multiple DSP units to be controlled from a single PC interface when connected through a USB hub.
A USB-C connection provides the interface for system tuning through ARC Audio’s DNA software platform.
