Description
NAD C 399 HybridDigital DAC Amplifier
The NAD C 399 is the flagship integrated amplifier in the Classic Series, combining HybridDigital nCore amplification, advanced digital processing, and MDC2 upgradeability. Delivering 180 watts per channel with exceptionally low distortion, the C 399 is designed to provide authoritative power, detailed musical reproduction, and long-term system flexibility.
Overview
Flagship Classic Series Performance
Built around NAD's HybridDigital nCore amplifier platform, the C 399 delivers more than 180 watts per channel into both 8-ohm and 4-ohm loads. Low distortion, high current capability, and refined digital processing help preserve musical detail while maintaining control during dynamic passages.
Dual MDC2 expansion slots allow the amplifier to evolve with future technologies. Adding the optional MDC2 BluOS-D module enables BluOS high-resolution multi-room streaming and Dirac Live® Room Correction (Limited Bandwidth), helping optimize system performance within the listening environment.
Amplifier Performance
High Power with Precise Control
The C 399 combines high continuous power with strong dynamic capabilities, producing 210W clipping power, 217W IHF dynamic power into 8 ohms, and peak output current exceeding 26 amps.
- 180W continuous output into 8Ω and 4Ω.
- <0.02% THD from 250mW to full rated power.
- >26A peak output current.
- Damping factor greater than 150.
- Frequency response ±0.3dB from 20Hz–20kHz.
Source Integration
