1x JL Audio XDM700/5 XDM Series 5-Channel Class-D Full Range Car/Marine Amplifier, 700 W (XDM700/5)
JL Audio XDM700/5 5-Channel Class D Car/Marine System Amplifier, 75 W x 4 @ 4 Ω + 300 W x 1 @ 2 Ω - 14.4V
The XDM700/5 is ideal for a complete audiophile-grade, subwoofer + four satellite system, and fits comfortably in just about any vehicle or vessel. With this incredible little amplifier, you can drive two pairs of quality component speaker systems with plenty of clean power (75 W x 4 @ 4 Ω), while also generating a solid 300 W of power for a subwoofer system. The technology that makes this much power possible in such a small chassis is JL Audio's high-speed NexD™ switching amplifier design.
Suitable for car or boat installations, the XDM700/5 is built with marine-grade materials and features an exclusive, dual-mode input filter for noise-free performance in boats or cars. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is also onboard for easy factory system upgrades.
The XDM700/5 includes a 12 dB / octave high-pass filter for one main channel pair, a 12 dB octave high-pass or bandpass filter for the other main channel pair, plus a variable slope low-pass filter for its subwoofer channel. All three filters offer continuously variable cutoff frequency selection from 50-500 Hz. This amplifier's filters can also be configured as a true 3-way crossover, with a low-pass filter for the subwoofer channel, a bandpass filter on Ch. 3 & 4, and a high-pass filter on Ch. 1 & 2. An "x10" multiplier switch on the Ch. 1 & 2 high-pass filter allows its cutoff frequency to be adjusted from 50-500 Hz or 500-5000 Hz. With the addition of an optional HD-RLC or MHD-RLC (water-resistant) remote level controller (each sold separately), you have the ability to adjust the level of all amplifier channels or just the subwoofer channel directly from the driver's seat or helm.
Finished in a sleek, black powder-coat, all controls are protected beneath a gasketed, removable top cover for easy access.

JL Audio 6.5-Inch M6 Marine Coaxial Speaker System, Gunmetal & Titanium, Sport Grille - SKU: M6-650X-S-GmTi
M6 Loudspeakers fulfill JL Audio’s commitment to raise the bar with each product generation. The JL Audio engineering team has completely reinvented the premium marine loudspeaker, with major improvements in performance, precision and durability. Offered in multiple sizes and cosmetic options, most models are also available with a brilliant, new lighting technology.
Coaxial Speaker Technology
Every M6 coaxial loudspeaker starts with a long-excursion woofer designed with JL Audio’s proprietary motor, suspension and cone modeling systems to yield superior frequency response, smooth mid-range dispersion and linear performance at all listening levels. JL Audio’s acoustics laboratory in Miramar, Florida performs extensive testing on multiple generations of prototypes to refine every design and extract maximum performance.
Matching Silk-Dome Tweeters
Since the different size woofers in the M6 coaxials have different upper frequency response limits, each size pairs with its own specially designed, matching silk dome tweeter (0.8, 1.0, or 1.25-inch diameter). Each of these tweeters is precisely tuned via a rear cavity that optimizes its mid-range extension to seamlessly transition with its matching woofer. The result is smooth, evenly dispersed sound throughout the critical crossover region, making the overall sonic presentation clean and clear.
Advanced Built-In Crossover Networks
Crossover networks are a critical part of the M6 coaxial speakers’ acoustic design and are considerably more sophisticated than those used in most marine coaxial speakers. The M6-650X employs a 1st order low-pass and 2nd order high-pass filter, while the M6-770X and M6-880X apply a 2nd order low-pass and 3rd order high-pass filter. Each crossover network also employs an electronic tweeter protection circuitto minimize the possibility of tweeter failure.
The multiple components required inthese crossovers are laid out on a ring-shaped circuit board that is built into each speaker’s terminal assembly, ensuring that the crossover is secure and protected from the elements.

Advanced Subwoofer Technologies
The M6-10W is best used with amplifier power in the 75W - 250W range and is optimized to operate in a compact 0.75 cu. ft. (21.2 l) sealed enclosure, or a 1.50 cu. ft. (42.5 l) ported enclosure. Detailed enclosure recommendations can be found in the "Specifications" tab. If you need a Subwoofer that operates without a dedicated enclosure, select one of our Infinite Baffle Subwoofers instead.

Enclosure Notes Safety Notice When installing a subwoofer in your vehicle, it is extremely important to secure the enclosure firmly. We recommend bolting the enclosure through the metal of the floorpan or the frame of the vehicle with large diameter washers for reinforcement. If an enclosure is not firmly attached, it can become a projectile in a collision. This is particularly important in a hatchback, station wagon, sports utility vehicle, or van. |
